Two years after Donald Tusk became Poland's prime minister and promised to reform strict abortion rules, many of the women who supported him are disillusioned and say a May 18 presidential vote is unlikely to bring the change they were promised. 

This is despite the fact that a liberal candidate conservative President Andrzej Duda, who has long opposed easing some of Europe's strictest abortion laws.

On a clear April morning, Joanna Sagier, her mother Alicja, and her 2-year-old son were the first visitors to the AboTak abortion centre in Warsaw. And they came bearing a bunch of pink tulips.

"Thanks to you, I have a grandson!" Alicja said, embracing Natalia Broniarczyk and Justyna Wydrzy艅ska, activists with the advocacy group Abortion Dream Team and founders of the centre, which opened in March just across the street from parliament.
